What is Marshall Ideas?

Marshall Ideas is a blog that aims to serve undergraduate students who have an interest in economics and finance, by providing them with up-to-date and succinct information about the major happenings in the world of economics and the financial markets.

At university, many of us find it difficult to balance social life with their academic work so naturally, although we in practice should, many of us simply tune out to the world around us, giving forth to the so-called ‘Cambridge bubble’. There is nothing wrong with this per se but when it comes to job applications for investment banks or consultancy firms, awareness of the past, current (and maybe future?) economic conditions is crucial. Furthermore, I am sure that there are many of us who would like to keep in touch with the affairs of economics or finance out of sheer personal interest but simply struggle to do so due to the aforementioned time constraints. This is why this blog is being launched; to condense the information that you will want to know about the world of economics and finance into one convenient place.
